What actually happens to the cash?
It's all secured through Interac e-Transfer®. The same way you would send or receive funds through your Canadian bank app.
30 days to claim
They get 30 days to open and 7 days to claim. Several reminders go out so nothing gets missed.
Auto-refund if unopened
If they never open it after 30 days, you get your money back. No drama, no chasing anyone.

Do I need an Emoot account to receive a gift?
Yes. It is quick, simple and free to set up an Emoot account.
How can I send bulk Emoot gifts?
Contact hello@emoot.io with your request and we will work with you on your bulk gifting needs.
What does my gift recipient need to do to open my emoot?
Your gift recipient will get an email notification with a unique link and Interac security answer for the emoot gift you are sending. They must create an account or log-in, to view your greeting. After opening the greeting, your recipient will receive an email from Interac for their e-Transfer amount which will guide them through Interac's secure e-Transfer acceptance process.
How long do I have to accept my gift?
Gift recipients have 30 days to open their Emoot greeting and 7 days to accept their Interac e-Transfer. We send them reminders!
Where can I check my emoot status?
Log-in with your Emoot account and click on Dashboard. You can search and filter your transactions to see the status.
