Emoot was started by a small team with deep experience and a shared frustration: the way money moves between people has never reflected how people actually feel about each other. So we set out to change that.

We are a Canadian team building with a simple belief that financial wellbeing and human connection should grow together, helping bring more happiness to our community through the way people pay, save, and give.

Founder & CEO

Nicola Claxton

Nicola is a two-time founder with an MBA and a background spanning tech, retail, and financial services. A TechStars Seattle 2020 alumna and ex-lululemon, she built Emoot to close the gap between how money moves and how it feels.

Co-Founder & CTO

Adam Delfino

Adam is a Staff Solution Architect Data & Security at lululemon and a software engineer with deep experience building consumer technology and systems. He brings the technical foundation that makes Emoot work seamlessly for every Canadian who uses it.

Co-Founder & CMO

Billy Adam James

Billy is a brand equity strategist and storyteller with over 15 years of experience making brands feel human and worth choosing. A serial founder built across Canada and the UK, passionate about using business as a force for social good.
